Susan will be in the shop with a beautiful assortment of her handcrafted pieces — and a stack of her signature hand-marbled papers to help you create your own one-of-a-kind design. So many years ago, when I first moved to New York, Sundays had a rhythm of their own — beginning with brunch downtown and always ending at the 26th Street Flea Market. It was part social ritual, part treasure hunt. In those early days, I found a pair of spherical marble lamps — simple, charming, and to me, incredibly grown-up.
Objects have a way of holding memory — quietly, intimately — in ways that surprise us. That’s what I shared with my dear friend Charlie Dumais. For years we've been circling the idea of a collaboration, never quite finding the right moment — until now.
